Dogs In De

The state of Delaware does not address specific limits in regards to the number of dogs that can be owned by one household in specific legislation. Therefore, it can be deemed that there is no specific limit regarding how many dogs a household can have in DE. However, there are other certain regulations that may ultimately affect how many dogs a household has by virtue of consequence.

For example, all dogs are now required to be licensed with the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control. All dogs that are over the age of six months must be registered. Furthermore, there are also DE laws in regards to the providing for dogs which can also affect ownership concerns. Generally speaking, DE legislation exists that requires households and pet owners to appropriately provide dogs' needs. Violations can often times be seen as cruel treatment of animals, and thus, have the dogs confiscated from the owners.
